Pettinhouse has released Save a Player, a free synth library for Native Instruments Kontakt, inspired by the iconic sound of Duran Duran’s “Save a Prayer.”
This free instrument merges retro tones with modern production sensibilities, delivering three expressive presets in one package. Don’t matter if you’re aiming for a nostalgic 80s arpeggio, a bright Freestyler-style lead, or a solid synth bass, Save a Player offers a quick and inspiring palette of sounds.
Explore 80s-Inspired Synth Tones
Each preset captures a distinct character:
- Save a Prayer Arp: The unmistakable shimmer of classic 80s arpeggios.
- Freestyler Tone: A brighter, more modern sound suited for pop and house.
- Modern Bass: A deep, punchy bass patch perfect for driving the low end.
All patches include a low-pass filter knob, giving users control over tone shaping with minimal effort. The result is a lightweight, versatile synth that blends vintage inspiration with modern sound design.
