Karanyi Sounds is giving away Minipol, their lightweight virtual‑analog synth, as a free download for a limited time over the holidays (newsletter signup required). Normally $49, it’s built for quick results: classic keys, chunky 80s bass, house stabs, pads, and plucks, all from a clean one‑window interface that won’t slow you down.
Smart, Fast, And Light On CPU
Minipol keeps things simple: oscillators up front, envelopes/modulation where you expect them, and a compact FX section. The headline feature is the Smart Random Bar; you can randomize a section or the whole patch to spark ideas without wrecking levels. It’s handy for sketching hooks fast or nudging a sound into new territory.
