United Plugins have released WideFire, a new plugin that is available as a free download until March 18. After this period, the price will increase to €9.00, with a further increase to €29.00 on May 1. The plugin is free for all existing DarkFire users, as the DarkFire license unlocks WideFire.
A Unique Audio Widening Approach
WideFire is derived from DarkFire, focusing on a core feature requested by users. It introduces an innovative stereo widening technique that goes beyond traditional wideners. The plugin provides a natural and immersive stereo field while maintaining excellent mono compatibility. Additionally, it can generate stereo content from mono sources, making it a versatile tool for music producers.
Analogue-Style Saturation with Advanced Widening
Like DarkFire, WideFire is an analogue-style saturator plugin with a unique function. After saturating the signal, the added harmonics are separated, widened through a dedicated algorithm, and blended back with the original signal. This process enhances the audio’s spatial depth without compromising clarity.
Features
Free until March 18, then available at an introductory price before rising to full price on May 1
Creates a wide stereo image while maintaining mono compatibility
Converts mono recordings into stereo and enhances existing stereo content
Analogue-style saturation with harmonic separation and widening
High-quality 64-bit internal processing with support for high sample rates
Adjustable photorealistic interface with resizable GUI
CPU-efficient processing with intelligent sleep mode
Latency compensation and noise-free automation
Free lifetime updates for compatibility with new OS and DAW versions
Enhance Your Mixes with WideFire
WideFire allows producers to achieve a spacious and immersive sound without introducing unwanted artefacts. It adds depth to vocals, guitars, synths, and various other audio sources, making it an essential tool for mixing and sound design.
Efficient and User-Friendly Design
The plugin features a photorealistic user interface that mimics hardware aesthetics while offering a flexible resizing option. Users can easily adjust the GUI to fit their workflow. Additionally, WideFire operates with an intelligent sleep mode that minimizes CPU usage when processing is unnecessary, optimizing performance.
Compatibility and Future Updates
WideFire is compatible with Windows and macOS, supporting VST2, VST3, AU, and AAX formats. United Plugins ensures that its products remain up to date with modern DAWs and operating systems, offering free lifetime updates.
