Analog Obsession has released MythPre, a free tube mic preamp plugin with selectable input modes and tone-shaping capabilities. Designed with a focus on low-end character and warmth, MythPre brings analog-style coloration to your signal path with intuitive controls and flexible routing options.
Custom Tube Preamp with Selectable Inputs
MythPre offers four different input modes—Mic, Line, DI, and Tone Shaper—each tailored to emphasize and enhance low-end frequencies in a unique way. Whether you’re recording vocals, instruments, or just shaping tone in your mix, MythPre adapts easily to your workflow.
Simple Controls with Deep Sonic Impact
The BOOST knob serves as a gain-compensated input stage, allowing you to dial in everything from subtle warmth to aggressive drive. You also get an OUTPUT knob to set the final level cleanly, as well as:
- HPF & LPF filters for adjusting frequency range before the preamp stage
- PAD switch for -20dB attenuation
- PHASE switch for flipping polarity
- Optional 4x Oversampling activated by clicking the “Analog Obsession” label
Versatile Analog Vibe
Whether you’re using it on bass tracks, vocals, or full mixes, MythPre’s tone-enhancing circuitry and intuitive design make it a useful tool for adding warmth and presence with minimal effort.
