  • Soft Loop Audio Releases Harmonic Echo Free Generative MIDI Delay Plugin (Beta)

Soft Loop Audio Releases Harmonic Echo Free Generative MIDI Delay Plugin (Beta)

Soft Loop Audio has released Harmonic Echo, a free generative MIDI delay plugin that doesn’t just repeat notes; it writes new ones. Set a key and mode, play a simple line, and the plugin climbs, falls, and harmonizes in real time. The aim is quick musical ideas without theory headaches.

    Scale‑Locked Sequences, Not Just Repeats

Choose your Key and Mode (Major, Minor, Lydian, etc.) and every echo snaps to the scale, so you won’t hit out‑of‑key notes. The piano‑roll UI is playable: audition scales or trigger echoes directly. A polymetric Hold engine groups echoes into rhythmic clusters for off‑grid patterns, while the physics‑style display shows velocity and decay so you can see what you’re hearing.

    Features

    • Generative MIDI delay that harmonizes to a chosen key & mode
    • Playable piano‑roll interface for auditioning and manual echo triggering
    • Hold engine for polymetric phrasing and clustered rhythms
    • Real‑time visual feedback (velocity/decay)
    • Quick starting points for chords, textures, and rhythmic hooks
    • Version 0.3.4 (beta)
    • Formats: VST3 (Windows/macOS/Linux), AU (macOS)

    Free Download

Harmonic Echo is available as a free beta from Soft Loop Audio Gumroad. Requirements: macOS 10.15+ (Intel/Apple Silicon), Windows 10+ 64‑bit, or 64‑bit Linux with X11. A README.txt is included with setup steps.

  • 194db Audio Releases VoxRelief Lite Free Vocal Processing Plugin

194db Audio Releases VoxRelief Lite Free Vocal Processing Plugin

194db Audio has released VoxRelief Lite, a free vocal-fixing & processing plugin designed to make vocals sit in the mix faster. Instead of building long EQ and multiband chains, you get a couple of focused controls that clear mud and smooth harshness while keeping the performance intact.

    Clearer Vocals, Fewer Plugins

The idea is simple: reduce low‑mid boxiness and tame sharp highs without flattening dynamics or dulling tone. In practice, it feels a bit like moving the mic to a better spot, less corrective surgery, more subtle reshaping, so the vocal lands naturally in the track.

    Features

    • DE‑BOXY: Reduces low‑mid buildup from proximity effect/room coloration without the carved‑out EQ sound
    • DE‑HARSHER: Smooths piercing top end while preserving brightness and detail
    • Fast results with minimal controls; keeps nuance and dynamics intact
    • Formats: VST3, AU, and AAX for Windows & macOS

    Free Download

VoxRelief Lite vocal processing plugin is available as a free download for Windows and macOS (VST3/AU/AAX). More information on the 194db Audio website.

  • Venus Theory Releases Auras:Lichen Free Decent Sampler Library

Venus Theory Releases Auras:Lichen Free Decent Sampler Library

Venus Theory has released Auras:Lichen, a new free Decent Sampler library. This instrument was built from the Soma Terra, an esoteric wooden synthesizer with touch‑sensitive pads known for organic, evolving textures.

Auras:Lichen focuses on dual‑layer, user‑selectable sources, captured as individual performances. Instead of traditional multisampling, every note was sampled one by one to preserve pitch drift and timbral nuance from the Terra’s unpredictable core.

    Terra To Textures

The core workflow lets you blend any two sources to sculpt moving pads and atmospheres. Because the Terra doesn’t repeat the same way twice, the captures deliver subtle motion even at static settings, useful for ambient beds, scoring cues, and textural pop layers.

    Engine & Controls

Inside Decent Sampler, Lichen uses the “auras” engine with controls for Expression, Dynamics, Filtering, and built‑in Effects. The latest Decent Sampler adds Source Select knobs so you can choose and combine layers on the fly. A custom set of experimental Impulse Responses (IRs) is included for transformative spaces and tonal shaping.

The library ships with 20 handmade presets plus an Init preset. Beware: some combinations can push into feedback‑like, saturated swells – very musical, but intentionally wild.

    Features

    • Free Decent Sampler library by Venus Theory
    • Built from Soma Terra performances (one‑by‑one note sampling)
    • Dual‑layer engine with user‑selectable sources (Source Select knobs)
    • “Auras” engine controls: Expression, Dynamics, Filtering, Effects
    • Experimental IR collection tailored for Lichen
    • 20 presets included + Init
    • Organic, evolving pads and textures in under 200 MB

    Formats & Requirements

Requires the free Decent Sampler plugin (macOS/Windows/Linux; also available on iOS). Load Auras:Lichen inside Decent Sampler.

    Free Download

Auras:Lichen library for Decent Sampler is available as a free download from Venus Theory’s Gumroad.

  • Reflex Acoustics Releases Reflexive Free EQ VST Plugin

Reflex Acoustics Releases Reflexive Free EQ VST Plugin

Reflex Acoustics has released the Reflexive EQ plugin as a free download (VST3, AU, and AAX). It’s a fast, dynamic EQ focused on transparent mid/side tone‑shaping with automatic gain‑staging and a minimal control set.

The core engine uses four dynamic bell filters that can compress or expand, so you can tamp down harshness, enhance transients, or open up space without static boosts and cuts.

    Dynamic Bells And Mid/Side Control

Each of the four bands can run in compression or expansion and target Mid and/or Side information. That makes it easy to de‑ess the center while widening air on the sides, or carve space around vocals, drums, and bass without smearing the stereo image.

    Detection, Look‑Ahead, And Auto Gain

Attack and Release are available per band, with up to 10 ms Look‑Ahead for clean, responsive action. The detector range is customizable (and can be auditioned), with an automatic threshold that behaves consistently on both loud and quiet material. Optional automatic make‑up gain aims for a neutral LUFS impact, so the level stays honest while the tone changes.

    Features

    • Up to four independent dynamic EQ bell curves (Gain, Frequency, Q, Attack, Release)
    • Compression or expansion per band
    • Mid/Side processing per band
    • Customizable detector frequency range with audition
    • Up to 10 ms Look‑Ahead
    • Automatic detector threshold for level‑independent behavior
    • Optional automatic make‑up gain targeting neutral LUFS change
    • External sidechain ducking (AU: click “Sidechain” in the display to activate)
    • Spectrum analyzer with enhanced low‑end time/frequency resolution
    • Highlights potentially clashing frequencies when an external sidechain is connected

  • HEAR360 Releases EcoSlap Delay Plugin for Free

HEAR360 Releases EcoSlap Delay Plugin for Free

HEAR360 has released EcoSlap, a free delay plugin that brings the character of classic analog plate reverb into the realm of creative slap-delay effects.

EcoSlap is based on the shortest decay setting of their Ecoplate I reverb model, originally known for its lush, metallic ambiance. Instead of simply mimicking old gear, EcoSlap takes the concept in a fresh direction, offering a unique blend of slap-back delay with a reverb-like tone that sits well in both subtle and experimental mixes.

A Plate Reverb, Reimagined as Delay

While most slap-back delays rely on tape or digital echoes, EcoSlap leans into the coloration of a physical plate reverb unit. The developers modeled the original Ecoplate I with precision and built EcoSlap on top of its shortest decay setting.

Additional controls, such as high- and low-pass filters, pre-delay, and a creative mix section, let you dial in slap textures ranging from vintage shimmer to tight, modern reflections.

    Features

    • Slap delay derived from Ecoplate I’s shortest decay mode
    • Built-in high-pass and low-pass filters
    • Pre-delay control
    • Creative wet/dry mix shaping
    • Modeled after a real analog plate
    • VST3 and AU formats for macOS and Windows

    Free Download

EcoSlap delay plugin is available as a free download and compatible with macOS and Windows in VST3 and AU formats. You can grab your copy from The Department of Sound website.

  • Sonatura Audio Releases Superhet Free Heterodyning Plugin

Sonatura Audio Releases Superhet Free Heterodyning Plugin

Sonatura Audio has introduced Superhet, a unique and experimental free plugin that brings the process of heterodyning into the digital audio workstation environment for the first time. Superhet opens the door to new sonic possibilities by utilizing a century-old concept in an entirely modern format.

    Explore the Power of Heterodyning

Heterodyning, a technique first developed in 1901 by Reginald Fessenden to assist in receiving radio transmissions, involves the creation of two new frequencies by combining two input frequencies. Superhet applies this principle musically by taking any two pitch inputs and generating both their sum and difference, producing fresh, unexpected tones that can dramatically expand a producer’s sound palette.

For example, combining a 440Hz tone with a 643Hz tone results in two completely new frequencies: 1083Hz and 203Hz. The original tones disappear, leaving behind this newly generated harmonic content.

    Designed for Experimental Sound Design

Superhet is not based on musical notes but rather on pure pitch. This pitch-based approach allows producers to explore uncharted musical territory, working outside of traditional scales and note values. The plugin includes a visual pitch display, letting users monitor all active frequencies in real time, and every parameter is fully automatable.

    Other features include:

    • Sum and Difference pitch generation
    • Selectable waveforms for tone shaping
    • Full ADSR amplitude control
    • Pitch envelope for further modulation
    • Visualizer for frequency monitoring

Superhet’s interface invites experimentation, encouraging producers to explore and create sounds that have never been heard before. Whether you’re composing ambient textures, designing effects, or crafting avant-garde pieces, this plugin offers a fresh approach to sound design.

    Free Download

Superhet heterodyning plugin is available as a free plugin for macOS and Windows in VST3 and AU formats. You can download it now from the Sonatura Audio website.

  • Noisebud Releases 360 – Creative Phase Rotation Plugin for Mixing (Free)

Noisebud Releases 360 – Creative Phase Rotation Plugin for Mixing (Free)

Noisebud has introduced 360, a full-band phase rotation plugin designed with mixing engineers in mind. It’s available as a free download via Patreon and was developed by community request.

A No-Nonsense Phase Tool for Mix Engineers

Unlike standard phase plugins that rely on all-pass filters and frequency-dependent behavior, 360 applies equal phase rotation across the entire signal. That means whether you’re trying to correct phase issues or shape your stereo field, 360 gives you precise, predictable results without altering tone or time alignment.

Where it gets interesting is in the channel options. You can rotate the entire stereo signal, or just the left or right channel. This gives you a surprisingly powerful stereo widening effect, similar to the HAAS technique but without any time delay or echo. Up to about 50 degrees of rotation, it’s completely phase-safe and mono-compatible, even for vinyl mastering.

    Designed for Mixing, Not Mastering

360 was born from a simple idea requested by one of Noisebud’s Patreon supporters: a straightforward tool for addressing phase in the mix. It’s particularly effective on individual instruments where phase problems sneak in: drum overheads, layered synths, or doubled vocals.

Although it’s not intended for mastering use, 360 opens the door to subtle stereo enhancements that avoid the usual pitfalls of delay-based effects.

    Free on Patreon

Noisebud 360 is available as a free download for PC and Mac users (VST3 and AU formats) directly through Noisebud’s Patreon page. Just join for free, and you’ll get access to the installers and additional exclusive content.

    Free Download

Noisebud 360 phase rotation plugin can be downloaded for free by joining the Noisebud Patreon.
